Know your Waste Type / Hazardous waste
You must accurately describe your waste type on the consignment transfer note otherwise you will incur additional charges since there are considerable differences in landfill tax rates.
Where inert waste loads ie. soil/hardcore/muck are ordered and they are later found to contain other waste types, ie. mixed builders waste materials, this contaminates the load. The hirer needs to be aware there are considerable differences in landfill tax rates. In these cases you will be charged an additional surcharge for this, typically up to £60 per tonne.
If you are planning to place any of the following restricted items in your hired skip please call the office for guidance 01923 831 690 or send us an email
