Plumbing Sales Assistant

We are recruiting Plumbing Trade Counter Sales Assistants to join our hard working teams in our busy stores in Kennington, North West London or Watford.
These are very specialised roles and you must have the relevant product knowledge and previous experience.
You would be reporting into the Branch Manager with daily duties including the following:

  • Serving customers, dealing with any queries.
  • Assisting in stock replenishment on the shop floor.
  • Assisting with deliveries in and out of the store.
  • Dealing with any telephone queries effectively and communicating with customers and colleagues.
  • Other sales related duties.
  • Ordering goods.

Candidates are required to provide advice on a wide range of products so you must have a good knowledge of Plumbing & Heating Products.

Person specification:

  • Experience of working within either a plumbing or construction materials environment
  • Excellent understanding of relevant products
  • Excellent customer service
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a busy team
  • Able to work on own initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good command of the English language (oral & written)
  • Excellent telephone manner
  • Previous experience in a similar industry/sector is desirable

The hours for the roles are:

7.30am - 5.30pm Mon-Fri and Every other Saturday 7.30am-3.30pm.

Class 2 Driver with HIAB Licence

We are recruiting an experienced Class 2 driver with a HIAB licence to join our hardworking Transport team, You would either be based in North West London or Watford.
You would be reporting into the Branch/Transport Manager with daily duties including the following:

• To deliver goods in and around London and Hertfordshire area
• To load the vehicle
• To plan the route to make sure deliveries are made on time
• Unloading goods at the customers address
• Collecting signatures on delivery and giving invoices
• Collecting payment on delivery
• Updating delivery records
• Returning undelivered items back to the branch

Person specification:

• Class 2 licence essential
• HIAB Crane experience essential
• Must have clean driving licence
• Must have previous experience of driving in the London area
• Excellent practical driving skills and road safety awareness
• Good communication skills
• Good customer service skills
• The ability to complete records sheets and paperwork

The hours for the roles are:

48 hours - Monday to Friday plus alternate Saturdays

Stock Controller

We are recruiting an experienced Stock Controller to join our hardworking Stock Control team.  You would either be based in our Kennington, Watford or North West London branches although you would need to be flexible with location.
You would be reporting into the Branch/Stock Control Manager with daily duties including the following:

Job specification:

To support the company’s profitability by ensuring accurate stock holding, using appropriate methods of investigation to identify and resolve issues impacting on incorrect positions, to protect assets and secure a more efficient process of work.

  • To run daily stock enquiry reports, launching necessary investigation, to take appropriate action, assuring continuity of supply and ability to report & record accurate information.
  • Resolve stock issues to reduce and prevent stock loss by ensuring stock management is carried out in line with company policy / procedure. To maintain a minimum requirement of 90% accuracy.
  • To ensure stock records are correct and match the physical holding on site.
  • Respond quickly to problems and discrepancies identified.
  • Monitoring inventory levels to ensure integrity and accuracy of the stock management system within agreed parameters; processing adjustments, updating stock locations, and monitoring outstanding transactions.
  • Collect and compile daily damage reports, taking appropriate action.
  • Oversee the return process to reduce impact on the current stock.
  • Coordinate and manage daily physical cycle counts and reconcile if actual counts report.
  • Respond to enquiries regarding products and inventories. 
  • Provide direction and assistance to colleagues as needed.


Person specification:

  • Responsive, responsible and adaptable.
  • Self-starter, motivated and willing to learn.
  • Bright and articulate, with good organisation skills.
  • Able to take instruction, but think and work well independently, as well as within a team, managing own time keeping to resolve issues in a robust fashion.
  • Dynamic thinker, who is IT literate, and can use hands on experience to drive their work focus.
  • Ability to prioritise work load and works well under pressure, can react to changes within real time.
  • Excellent communication skills and methodical thinking.
  • The ability to carry out administrative tasks, basic mathematics and understand business operations.
